Microsoft qualifications

The Microsoft Office Specialist is a globally recognised qualification that is available to LSBU alumni for up to five years after completing your studies for a discounted cost of £50.

A Microsoft Office Specialist certificate on your CV shows that you can competently use Microsoft applications and it may give you a competitive advantage when job hunting and in the workplace.

The cost of the certificate includes access to online training materials and one exam entry. The Microsoft Office Specialist service is delivered by the IT Training Team based in the LRC, via an online training program. Each certificate is a qualification in its own right – so you can take just one, or as many as you like. As an LSBU Alumni Association member you receive a discount on the exams.


To register your interest, please email stating:

  • Your full name
  • Alumni Access card number
  • Date of birth

In order to access the IT Training services you will need to have an LSBU Alumni Access Card to get into the LRC. You can apply for a free Alumni Access Card online or by contacting the Alumni Office at or on 020 7815 6712.
