The Thirst will headline the very first Alumni Live Music Night on Thursday 6 June, an evening of entertainment with a selection of London’s finest artists. This special event is being held in conjunction with GE Lifestyle, an online portal celebrating culture and the arts created by LSBU alumnus Roger R Moore.

Headed by brothers Mensah (vocals/guitar) and Kwame Hart (bass), The Thirst are regulars on the London live scene, blending ska, hip-hop and funk into one irresistible musical force. Their career to date has included support slots for The Rolling Stones and The Sex Pistols, as well as receiving rave reviews from The Guardian, NME and MTV Base.

Mensah took the time out from the band’s busy recording and touring schedule to speak to us about the Alumni Live Music Night: “We’re really excited to be playing at LSBU as it will be our first time. A lot of our friends studied there and we know it’s a really creative institution. We’re looking forward to rocking our socks off and giving alumni a good reason to come back!”
