The Department of Law and LSBU Association was delighted to welcome over 170 law alumni, students and staff to a special lecture to mark the University's 120 year anniversary.

The lecture on the Stephen Lawrence case explored the enduring legacy of the legal campaign and how it has changed the face of policing and law in Britain forever.  Attendees had the opportunity to listen to leading human rights and criminal lawyer, Imran Khan, who represented the family of Stephen Lawrence, and Doreen Lawrence who lectured on the lasting legacy of the case. The event also provided alumni with an excellent opportunity for them to reconnect with former classmates, other law professionals and staff.

The lecture was filmed and we will shortly be putting the full lecture online so those who were unable to attend, do not miss out.
