Alumni vs. Students Sports Day
Love sport? Whether you're a veteran on the pitch or just fancy a enjoying a game, join in the fun at the Alumni vs. Students Sports Day! Give current LSBU students a run for their money or simply want to cheer on your fellow alumni as they play. Will you come back to campus for one day and take on the student sports teams?

Sports day venue: Sports Hall, LSBU Sports Centre & Burgess Park
If you wish to come along and cheer on the teams, the times and location of the games are outlined below:
American Football - Burgess Park - 11:00
Rugby - Burgess Park - 13:00
Football - Burgess Park - 15.00
Badminton - LSBU Sports Centre - 13.00
Table Tennis - LSBU Sports Centre - 13.00
Basketball - LSBU Sports Centre - 14.15
Netball - LSBU Sports Centre - 16.00
Dinner and Prize Giving Reception - LSBU Student Centre, The Venue Bar - 18:00-20:00
Members off staff will be available at both the LSBU Sports Centre and Burgess Park on the day to help you with any questions you may have. We hope to see you there!
Alumni vs. Students Sports Day 2014
After the success of last year’s Alumni vs. Students Sports Day, we’re giving you the chance to get involved at next year’s event and take on the student sports teams. Team Alumni were the overall winners last year, so whilst the students will be keen to make amends we’re calling out to all graduates interested in playing or cheering on their fellow alumni!
If you were part of a sports club while you were a student, or simply love sport, come back to campus to take part as a member of Team Alumni or take a seat at the Sports Centre Viewing Gallery to lend your support with your loudest cheering voices.
Last year, we featured matches in netball, basketball, rugby and football. Due to popular demand, we’ve also added Table Tennis, Badminton and American Football to the mix. If you have an idea for another sport and could gather a team of alumni together, we would be happy to accommodate your request.
The games will take place on Saturday 22 March at the Sports Hall, LSBU Sports Centre for basketball/netball matches and Burgess Park for rugby/football matches.
At the end of the day, you can commemorate (or commiserate?) your team’s results at the Prize Giving and Dinner Reception at The Venue, Students' Union Bar in the Student Centre. Prizes will be awarded to the best sportsman, sportswoman and team of the day.
Prize Giving and Dinner Reception
The Venue bar will be open all day for you to relax, plan your team tactics or wind down after the games. Drinks and snacks are available from the bar and a member of the Alumni Team will be on hand to greet you with your official LSBU Alumni vs. Students Sports Day Welcome Pack and provide any other assistance you may require.
After all of the games, you are invited to join us for the Prize Giving & Dinner Reception at The Venue, Students' Union Bar in the Student Centre where awards will be presented to the winning teams. We will also be taking nominations for the Most Valuable Sportsperson and the “Wooden Spoon” team or individual, who could have done with a few more hours practice time!
