Terry studied electrical engineering at LSBU graduating with a 2:1 in 1963 and spending much of his career lecturing in electronics. Most of Terry’s life has been infused with radio-based electronics and for around fifteen years he was occupied in government-related jobs with several organisations, including The Royal Military College of Science (RMCS) which he joined in 1969 to lecture in electronics and telecommunications.

Whilst at RMCS (now the Defence Academy) Terry spent two of his fifteen years in Melbourne, Australia on secondment at La Trobe University. He also authored three academic books. He was also fortunate enough to travel much of Europe, the Middle East and North America throughout his career.

Terry changed his career from lecturing and worked for a small consultancy firm before leaving to set up his own firm “Engalco-Research” in 1989. Engalco is a tech-sector consultancy, industry analysis, market forecasting and publishing concern. The firm has experience in all relevant commercial and defense segments, and specialises mainly in the RF/microwave, wireless, fiber-optics, photonics and related electronics sectors.

Terry always had an ability to write and this was an area in which he excelled at school. Throughout his career he often used to spend much of his personal time writing stories and he started on his first novel in the early nineties.
Spheres of Deception is a psychological thriller based around the effects of international security on an innocent couple. You can purchase a hard copy of the book on Amazon, at Waterstones on Baker Street or you can purchase the E-book online.

Terry has received comments from his local paper and various other people that Spheres of Deception would make an excellent screen play, which is something he would like to explore further. If you have any ideas or may be willing to assist please contact him at: terry.edwards1@talktalk.net
