On the rise: LSBU climbs 14 places up The Guardian league table

The Guardian University Guide league tables published on 17 May, have shown that London South Bank University has gained 14 places to number 100.

According to the results, LSBU has improved in the areas of "overall score", "satisfied with teaching", "spend per student", "satisfied with feedback" and "value added score".

The value added score category is unique to the Guardian and compares students' individual degree results with their entry qualifications, before converting them into points out of ten.

LSBU scores 6.5/10 in this category - ranking us at 29 in the UK and in the top 25% of UK higher education institutions for the second year running. This impressive result is an increase from the 2010 league table and highlights the admirable growth and transformation that many of our students experience here at LSBU.

Commenting on the League Table results, Vice Chancellor Professor Martin Earwicker said:

Once again, it must be noted that for LSBU, league tables will always present their challenges unless they truly reflect our unique student body. However, it is encouraging that the Guardian table publicly recognises the results of our long standing commitment to creating professional opportunity for all who can benefit.
