ESBE announce new Acoustic courses
The Acoustic group at the faculty of Engineering, Science and the Built Environment (ESBE) are delighted to announce that they are about to launch two new Acoustics courses, in addition to their existing MSc/PgDip Environmental and Architectural Acoustics for the 2013-2014 academic year.
Exciting new courses in the ESBE faculty
Did you know that complaints about noise in London are increasing? More than 367,000 have been made over the past three years, with Tower of Hamlets, Westminster and Southwark being branded as the noisiest boroughs in the capital. The rise in complaints makes it even more important to have appropriately trained professionals to deal with the issues surrounding acoustics and noise control.
With this in mind, the Acoustic group at the faculty of Engineering, Science and the Built Environment (ESBE) are delighted to announce that they are about to launch two new Acoustics courses, in addition to their existing MSc/PgDip Environmental and Architectural Acoustics for the 2013-2014 academic year.
The new courses are; IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control (1 year, part-time) and IOA Certificate of Competence Environmental Noise Measurements (1 week, full-time). These exciting new courses are accredited by the prestigious Institute of Acoustics and are highly sought after by employers in a range of industries, such as; Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environmental Health. Acoustics and noise control are fast becoming skills highly demanded across many of these sectors.
The LSBU Acoustic Group is over 30 years old and many of those that studied the MSc in Environmental and Architectural Acoustics have gone on to secure managerial and high positions in Acoustic consultancies and Local Authorities.
