The cohort of five have recently retired after enjoying rewarding careers; developing colour television for the BBC, designing avionic systems for Concorde, and taking their skills to Japan, USA and the Middle East, are just some of their achievements.

The class were reunited over lunch with the Electrical and Electronic Engineering faculty where they discussed how much the University has developed since the days of Borough Polytechnic. One hot topic was the future of Electrical Engineering at LSBU, spurred on by 1st year student Keshav Ooriah who gave a thorough tour of campus, including our somewhat different facilities and machinery

Stanley Daniels, former employee at Concorde claimed the day was “super and very enjoyable... It was a pleasure to meet with the faculty.”

Colin Tonge, who was sponsored by the BBC throughout his studies said, “I am so glad that the LSBU is flourishing and echo Stanley’s comments about the day.”
